Job Posting: Machine Operators and Production Operators (2nd and 3rd Shifts)

Location: Homer, MI

Position: Full-Time

Work Schedules – Monday to Friday:

  • 2nd Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
  • 3rd Shift: 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM

Compensation – WEEKLY PAY:

  • 2nd Shift: $19.85/hour (includes $1.00 shift premium)
  • 3rd Shift: $19.35/hour (includes $0.50 shift premium)

Position Overview:

New to manufacturing? No problem! Our company is seeking dedicated individuals ready to kick-start a long-term career as Machine Operators and Production Operators. No prior experience is required – we’ve seen great success with candidates from retail, food service, and recent high school graduates.

We offer a comprehensive 4-week training program to provide you with the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in your role and grow with the company.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Basic Math
  • Basic CNC Machining
  • Knowledge of various tools and machinery (Drills, Hones, Gauges, Robots, Grinders etc.)
  • Maintenance Troubleshooting
  • Ability to read blueprints preferred
  • Ability to work independently
  • High school Diploma/GED required
  • Good communication skills

Preferred Experience, NOT REQUIRED:

  • Previous experience operating machinery in a manufacturing or warehouse setting.
  • Familiarity with tools and equipment used in fabrication processes.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
  • Good problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot machine issues.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

CNC Operators – Homer, MI

Compensation:

  • 2nd – $15.50 or more w/ CNC experience
  • 3rd – $16.00 or more w/ CNC experience

Schedule:
Training on 1st shift 7am – 3pm Monday to Friday for 2 weeks.

  • 2nd – 3pm – 11pm Monday to Friday
  • 3rd – 11pm – 7am Sunday to Thursday

Position Overview:

  • Utilize production machinery
  • Package parts to send customers
  • Follow control plans to guarantee quality parts
  • Maintain oil & coolant levels on machines to ensure smooth operation
  • Remove and replace dull cutting tools
  • Listen to machines during operation in order to detect sounds such as those made to dull cutting tools or excessive vibration and adjust machines to compensate for problems
  • Lift work pieces to machines manually, or with hoists or cranes
  • Hand work parts after machining to clean up sharp edges
