This Quoter/Buyer role starts as a temporary position with the intention to convert to full-time hire after requirements are met. The position works closely with Sales, Program Management, Engineering, and Operations to develop competitive quotes and support production requirements while maintaining cost, quality, and delivery objectives. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare and manage customer quotes, including material pricing and cost analysis
- Source materials, components, and services from approved suppliers
- Request and evaluate supplier quotations, lead times, and pricing
- Issue purchase orders and manage ongoing supplier communications
- Support cost reduction and supplier negotiation initiatives

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform stick welding (SMAW) on scrap containers, heavy equipment, and structural steel
- Repair cracks, worn components, and damaged metal surfaces
- Cut and prepare metal using torches, grinders, and other tools
